A message of confidence from Barcelona: Hamza Abderkareem will stay until 2030.

FC Barcelona announced on Friday that they have reached an agreement with young Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim to extend his contract until June 30, 2030.

The club revealed that the signing ceremony for the new contract will take place next Tuesday at the office of Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

The contract renewal comes after Abdel Karim's impressive performances with the team, especially during the preparations for the new season, despite his limited appearances in official matches.

Reports indicate that Barcelona aims to improve the Egyptian striker's salary, in addition to increasing the release clause in his contract to €150 million.

Last June, Barcelona announced they had activated the purchase option for Abdel Karim from Egyptian club Al Ahly, making the young striker a permanent member of the Catalan club.

Abdel Karim joined Barcelona during the last winter transfer window and participated in the final part of the season with the club's second team, where he delivered strong performances since his debut.

The Egyptian striker managed to establish himself during the pre-season preparations, topping Barcelona's scoring list, which helped him maintain his place in coach Hans Flick's plans.

Previously, there were speculations about the possibility of Barcelona registering Abdel Karim in the first team, after the Spanish league's website listed his name among the first-team players. However, the club insists on its original plan for the player, which includes keeping him in the reserve team for the current season, allowing him to maintain competitive levels and participate with the first team when needed, according to Spanish newspaper "Sport."
