Diaa El-Sayed, former Al Ahly star and coach of the Egypt national team, revealed new details about his recent meeting with Hany Abou Rida, president of the Egyptian Football Association, regarding the possibility of joining the federation's structure in the near future.
During his appearance on the "Captain" program hosted by Ahmed Hassan, Diaa El-Sayed noted that the discussions held in the meeting with the football association officials covered several general topics, without reaching a final decision on the nature of the tasks he would undertake within the federation.
The former Al Ahly star also explained that another meeting is planned with the football association officials, specifically with Hany Abou Rida, in the coming period, aiming to reach a clear agreement on the details and responsibilities of the new position, should the final agreement be completed.
Media reports have indicated that Hany Abou Rida is looking to benefit from Diaa El-Sayed's expertise within the football association, especially as the board of directors aims to attract several technical staff and experienced individuals in the upcoming phase.
The first meeting was attended by Shawky Gharib, the federation's technical director, where several files related to the work plan for the upcoming period were discussed, as part of the restructuring of the technical system within the federation.
