Preparation has officially begun for the Stallions. The first Burkinabé internationals have gathered and held their first training session this Monday afternoon at the 4-Août Stadium, under the guidance of national coach Amir Abdou and his staff.

This first session marks the start of a crucial week ahead of Burkina Faso's opening match in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The Stallions will face Benin on Friday, September 25, at 19:00 GMT at the 4-Août Stadium, kicking off Group F.

Burkina Faso will then travel to Casablanca to play against the Central African Republic on September 28 for the second matchday.
