7 coaches have lost their lives in the Egyptian league, with Ahmed Sami being the latest to depart.

The Egyptian Premier League has seen a series of changes in coaching staff during the 2026-2027 season, with 7 coaches losing their positions in the early weeks of the competition as clubs sought to correct their course and achieve better results.

The list of departures includes Emad Nassar, Mohamed El Sheikh, Ahmed Khattab, Magdy Abdel-Aty, Ahmed Mostafa Bebo, Ahmed Abdel-Maqsoud, and finally Ahmed Sami, the former coach of Al Masry, who has become the latest victim in the ongoing coaching shake-up in the league.

1- Emad Nassar First to Depart

The wave of coaching departures began at Al Masry SC, after the club's management decided to part ways with Emad Nassar following a 1-0 defeat to Pyramids FC in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The dismissal came despite Nassar leading the team to victory in the first two matches of the competition before his tenure with the Port Said club came to an end.

2- Mohamed El Sheikh Leaves Wadi Degla

Wadi Degla witnessed its second coaching change with the departure of Mohamed El Sheikh, as the management decided to terminate his contract due to poor results.

El Sheikh led the team in 4 league matches, achieving one victory, two draws, and one defeat, before Mustafa Shbita took over the coaching responsibilities in his place.

3- Ahmed Khattab Third to Leave

At Ghazl El Mahalla, the club's management decided to end the contract with Ahmed Khattab and his coaching staff due to the team's unsatisfactory start in the league and a decline in results during the opening rounds.

The club appointed Khaled Galal to take over the team in an effort to restore balance and improve results during the tournament.

4- Magdy Abdel-Aty Departs Abu Qir Fertilizers

Magdy Abdel-Aty submitted his resignation from coaching Abu Qir Fertilizers following a 2-1 defeat to Petrojet in the sixth round of the league.

The resignation came amid a decline in the team's results at the start of the season and a difficult position in the standings, prompting the management to accept his departure and appoint Haitham Shaaban as the new head coach.

5- Ahmed Mostafa Bebo

Ahmed Mostafa Bebo joined the list of coaches leaving the Egyptian Premier League after his tenure with El Gouna ended following the seventh round of the competition.

The decision to part ways was due to poor results, as El Gouna found itself at the bottom of the standings with only 2 points from 7 matches, without a single victory, managing only 2 draws against 5 defeats.

The club's management decided to appoint Alaa Abdel-Aal to lead the team, hoping to improve results and avoid relegation.

6- Ahmed Abdel-Maqsoud

Ahmed Abdel-Maqsoud announced his departure from coaching Petrojet after the team finished his tenure in sixteenth place in the league table with 5 points.

Petrojet, under his leadership, secured one victory and two draws, alongside 4 defeats, before his experience with the team came to an end due to declining results in the early rounds of the competition.

7- Ahmed Sami Latest Victim of the Egyptian League

Ahmed Sami has become the latest addition to the list of coaches leaving the Egyptian Premier League, as Al Masry SC announced the termination of his contract by mutual consent on October 30, following a decline in the team's results in recent times.

Sami managed 5 matches with Al Masry in the tournament, failing to secure any victories, with 3 draws and 2 defeats, earning only 3 points out of a possible 15.

During his tenure, Al Masry scored 4 goals while conceding 7, prompting the club's management to end the experiment and search for a new head coach to lead the team in the upcoming phase.
