Shobir: Imam Ashour has been suffering from a hamstring injury for some time, and it has worsened to the point of fibrosis.

Ahmed Shobir explained the decline in performance of Imam Ashour, the midfielder for Al Ahly, and his recent absence from the team's matches.

Imam Ashour is suffering from a groin injury

Shobir mentioned during his radio program "With Shobir" on ON Sport Radio, "When I say information, I am 100% sure of it. Imam Ashour has been playing for a while while suffering from a problem in his groin, and he is receiving injections to be able to play because he wants to participate both with Al Ahly and the national team. The injury affects his shooting and changing directions, but he trains normally."

Shobir added, "The problem Imam had with his groin has turned into fibrosis, which causes him some pain, but he endures and continues normally, and this is one of the reasons for his decline in performance."

He continued, "Imam Ashour was excluded from Al Ahly's squad for technical reasons due to his declining performance, not because of the injury. On the contrary, Imam was one of the best players in the last three training sessions, especially in the last two."

Shobir concluded by saying, "The coaching staff of Al Ahly is striving to get the best performance from Imam Ashour, and at the same time, Omar El Saai has taken advantage of the opportunity brilliantly, scoring three consecutive goals against Al Qana, Kitarah, and Modern Sport, with his last goal being the winning goal. The competition between Imam Ashour and Omar El Saai benefits both Al Ahly and the national team."
