Big Shock: Sundowns Exit CAF Champions League

South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, the reigning CAF Champions League champions, have been eliminated from the tournament in a surprising upset.
The defending champions were knocked out after drawing 1-1 at home against Angolan side Wiliete in the second leg, with the visitors benefiting from the away goals rule after the first leg ended 0-0, securing their place in the group stage.
Despite Sundowns dominating the match early on, taking the lead through Thabiso Kutumela in the 11th minute, which gave the team and their fans hope for progression, Wiliete fought back strongly at the start of the second half, equalizing through striker Christopher Mabulu in the 49th minute.
Despite the hosts' significant efforts to turn the situation around and find a winning goal, the visitors held firm until the final whistle, achieving a historic feat by eliminating the titleholders from continental competition early.
