Aït-Nouri affair: FAF sets a condition for the player's return to the national team

The most delicate subject for the Algerian team is starting to clarify. Rayan Aït-Nouri is not excluded from the list of the Greens: Brahim Hemdani leaves the door open for the Manchester City left-back, despite the incident that occurred during the September gathering. The Algerian Football Federation, for its part, conditions this potential return on one requirement: the defender must address the Algerian supporters to apologize, reports the media El-Khabar.

This message is twofold and carries significant weight. On one hand, the coaching staff refuses to do without a player of his caliber. On the other hand, the institution reminds that a national jersey is not obtained without a symbolic repair towards the supporters.

Hemdani keeps an eye on Aït-Nouri

The national coach has never used definitive terms. Since the player's exclusion, he has carefully avoided any statements that could close the door to a shared future. This position is confirmed today: Hemdani believes that the case remains open, provided there is a calming of tensions.

This approach contrasts with the rumors of recent days. Many envisioned a permanent separation after the decision made in Sidi-Moussa. The coach, who had already refused to comment on the left-back's fate during a press conference in Bujumbura, seems to want to separate the disciplinary sanction from the sporting aspect.

From a purely footballing perspective, the argument is valid. Few Algerian players compete at the level of the English champions. Permanently depriving oneself of the services of such a profile as continental deadlines approach would be a risky bet.

Recap of the triggering events

It all started on the evening of the match against Zambia, which the Greens won 3-1 at the Hocine Aït-Ahmed Stadium in Tizi-Ouzou. Excluded from the starting eleven in favor of Jaouen Hadjam, the defender had isolated himself from the group since the morning technical meeting. The events leading to his exclusion then accelerated throughout the match.

Sent to warm up twice, the player never entered the field. His reaction, visible from the stands, sealed his fate during this gathering. The following morning, the staff officially announced his departure from the National Technical Center.

By making such a swift decision, Hemdani established the foundations of his disciplinary method in front of a locker room he barely knows. The message sent to the group was clear: no status protects from a sanction.
