Al Ahly sends 1.5 million EGP to ENPPI after Ali Mahmoud joins the Egypt national team.

Al Ahly SC has transferred 1.5 million Egyptian pounds to ENPPI as part of the conditions outlined in the contract for the transfer of young midfielder Ali Mahmoud to the Red Castle. This amount is due to the petroleum club if the player represents the Egyptian national team, which occurred during the recent international break when he made his debut for the Pharaohs under coach Hossam Hassan.

ENPPI's entitlement to the amount came after Ali Mahmoud participated as a substitute in Egypt's match against Angola, which ended in a goalless draw in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The head coach brought him on in the 88th minute for Imam Ashour, allowing him the opportunity for his first international appearance, thus activating the financial clause agreed upon by both clubs.

The recent international break marked a significant development in Ali Mahmoud's career, as the Al Ahly midfielder was called up for the first time to the Egyptian national team under Hossam Hassan, before getting the chance to play in the match against Angola. This reflects his inclusion in the national team's plans.

The player's entry in the final minutes of the match was sufficient to activate the financial clause in his transfer contract from ENPPI to Al Ahly. The agreement does not require the player to start or play a specific number of minutes; simply stepping onto the field wearing the Egyptian national team jersey suffices, which indeed happened during the match.

Ali Mahmoud transferred to Al Ahly during the last summer transfer window on a five-year contract, which included several clauses linked to the player's participation and future achievements. Ayman El Sheri, the president of ENPPI, revealed that there is a partnership mechanism between the two clubs that includes financial conditions related to the player's career with Al Ahly.

These payments are part of the agreement made upon completing the transfer, providing ENPPI with additional revenue when specific conditions in the contract are met, including the player's representation of the national team. Therefore, Ali Mahmoud's participation against Angola was not just a new milestone in his football career, but also triggered a financial obligation to his former club.

The young midfielder hopes to capitalize on his first appearance with the national team and work on increasing his chances of participation in the upcoming period, whether with Al Ahly or the national team, especially since gaining international experience early in his career is an important step towards solidifying his position among the candidates to represent the Pharaohs.
