Verts: Ilyes Hamache alongside Mbappé and Olise!

After scoring another notable goal in the Netherlands, Ilyes Hamache is now gaining significant visibility in France. The Algerian is included in a prestigious weekend selection alongside several stars.
Ilyes Hamache continues to reap the rewards of his excellent start to the season in the Netherlands. After scoring again with Cambuur against AZ Alkmaar, the Franco-Algerian winger was selected on Monday for the best eleven of French players of the weekend established by L’Équipe. This is a great recognition for the 23-year-old player, who finds himself alongside Kylian Mbappé and Michael Olise.
This distinction directly rewards his performance on Sunday. Starting against the second-placed team, Hamache restored Cambuur's lead in the 39th minute with a magnificent curled shot with his right foot from the edge of the box, sending it into the far bottom corner. This goal brings his total to four goals in the Eredivisie this season.
Hamache is particularly enjoying a fruitful period at home. He has now scored four goals in his last three home matches, becoming only the third player in Cambuur's history to score in three consecutive Eredivisie matches at home, following Michael Mols and Sander van de Streek.
This spotlight inevitably brings his name back into discussions in Algeria. Several years ago, during Djamel Belmadi's era, Hamache had already expressed his desire to join the Algerian national team one day. His current performances could gradually bring him back into the conversation.
