Ali Farag to "Youm7": Zizo and Ashour leaving Zamalek due to money.
Former Haras El Hodood goalkeeper and current goalkeeping coach Farag confirmed that player transfers between clubs have seen significant changes in the current era compared to previous years.
Farag told Youm7 that the changes and developments in football make it natural for players to move to rival teams, as we live in an era of professionalism.
Farag: Zizo and Ashour left for money
He added that the transfers of Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Imam Ashour from Zamalek to Al Ahly were due to the players' differing loyalties, noting that players' loyalty used to be focused on their clubs, but now it is tied to financial incentives. This means that a player was once connected to the club they represented, but currently, the focus is on financial returns, due to the huge sums being offered to them. This is natural, as players look to their futures.
