Abdelkahar Kadri stood out in one of the standout clashes of the weekend in Belgium. The Algerian international scored a goal in the first half, leading Gent to a decisive victory against Anderlecht.

Abdelkahar Kadri perfectly initiated Gent's match against Anderlecht. As a starter for this 9th round of the Jupiler Pro League, the Algerian international opened the scoring in the 14th minute, capping a long run into the box and putting his team on the right track.

The action was executed brilliantly. After following the offensive for several dozen meters, Kadri continued his effort into the box. Served by Tiago Araújo, he outpaced his defender at the penalty spot and struck the ball directly from the center, without control, using his right foot to beat the goalkeeper.

Abdelkahar Kadri was eventually substituted in the 68th minute, while Gent was still leading 1-0. His teammates then continued their momentum to deliver a crushing score of 4-0 against Anderlecht. This victory allows the Buffalos to solidify their top position with 25 points, thanks to eight wins and one draw in nine rounds.

With this match, Kadri now has a total of 4 appearances, approximately 226 minutes, and one goal in the league. Across all competitions, the Algerian has accumulated 9 matches and 2 goals this season, having also scored during the preliminary rounds of the Conference League.
