Moroccan forward at Anderlecht, Tawfik Ben Tayeb, was taken to the hospital on Saturday evening for medical tests after suffering a head injury during his team's impressive 3-0 victory over Zulte Waregem, according to the Belgian newspaper "Le Soir," citing the team's coach, Vitor Bruno.

Ben Tayeb, who scored the opening goal and assisted in the other two goals for his team, collided heads with a defender from Zulte Waregem. Despite the collision, the Moroccan international continued to play initially, then shifted to a playmaker role, providing a crucial pass for Anderlecht's second goal. He also contributed to the third goal before requesting to be substituted.

He left the pitch shortly after scoring the third goal and headed to the hospital. The Portuguese coach of Anderlecht stated: "We are in contact with the medical staff, and tests were conducted to see if he could continue playing. The player also confirmed that he was fine. However, after the third goal, he no longer felt well, so we substituted him."

Ben Tayeb, a graduate of the Mohammed VI Football Academy, is among the 29 players called up by national team coach Mohamed Wahbi for the upcoming international training camp.

It is worth noting that the Moroccan forward joined Anderlecht this summer from Troyes, where he finished the season as the top scorer in the French second division with 20 goals, in a deal worth €4.5 million.
