Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the Qatari president of Paris Saint-Germain, is under investigation in France for alleged conflicts of interest, according to the public prosecutor's office in the French capital on Sunday.

The prosecutor's office clarified, confirming reports from L'Équipe, that the preliminary investigation relates to his dual management of PSG, which has won the UEFA Champions League in the last two seasons, and the beIN Media Group, and includes a meeting with the French Football League to discuss broadcasting rights scheduled for July 2024.

Al-Khelaifi's lawyer told AFP that his client "has always acted with independence, integrity, and objectivity."
