Bentaleb Falls to Arsenal, Zdadka Shines, and Titraoui Plays Briefly
In the second round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, Algerian professionals had mixed results. Nabil Bentaleb and his team Lille lost to Arsenal, while Lens, featuring Mouna Titraoui, fell at home to Sporting Lisbon. In contrast, Akim Zdadka secured an important victory with Azerbaijan's Sabah against Slavia Prague.
Bentaleb Starts Against Arsenal
Algerian international Nabil Bentaleb was in the starting lineup for Lille's match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, but his team could not withstand their opponent, losing 3-0. The midfielder remained on the pitch until the 72nd minute, delivering a mediocre performance that earned him a rating of 6.6.
Bentaleb touched the ball 58 times, completed one dribble, made three successful tackles, and recovered three balls. This match marked Lille's second consecutive defeat, following a 3-2 loss to Real Betis in the opening round.
Titraoui Plays in the Final Minutes
Mouna Titraoui only came on as a substitute for the last ten minutes of Lens' match against Sporting Lisbon, which ended in a 2-0 defeat for the French side at home.
Titraoui had 11 touches, provided one key pass, and won one duel for the ball, but he could not help his team level the score. Lens had started their campaign with a victory over Slavia Prague in the first round.
Zdadka Shines with Sabah
On the other hand, Akim Zdadka achieved an important win with his team Sabah against Slavia Prague, winning 2-0. The Algerian defender played the entire match and delivered an impressive performance both defensively and offensively. Zdadka received a rating of 7.5 after recovering seven balls, successfully completing two dribbles, and providing 40 successful passes, contributing to his team's three points after their heavy 4-0 loss to Manchester United in the first round.
