Boudaoui and Cherki Shine in French League Team of the Week
Algerian duo Hicham Boudaoui and Samir Cherki have secured their spots in the Team of the Week for the ninth round of the French league, as announced by French newspaper “L'Équipe,” in recognition of their outstanding performances with their teams.
This honor highlights Boudaoui's gradual return to form, after he played only ten minutes against Auxerre in the fourth round, missed the match against Lille in the fifth round, and then returned as a substitute in the 37th minute during the clash with Strasbourg to replace injured teammate Djibril Koulibaly in the sixth round.
Since then, Boudaoui has regained his starting position, playing the full 90 minutes against Lyon, Brest, and Rennes, achieving his third consecutive start.
Meanwhile, Paris FC defender Samir Cherki received praise from “L'Équipe” after contributing to the victory over Monaco with an impressive defensive performance, marking a strong return after the injury he sustained against Rennes in the seventh round, which forced him to leave the field, and he missed the match in the eighth round against Lens.
The match between Paris FC and Monaco also saw the participation of Algerian international Ilan Kebbal, who continues to deliver solid performances with his team, having played nine matches this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
