After a 2-0 defeat in the first leg, MC Alger hosts Enugu Rangers this Friday, October 23, at 19:00 GMT at the Ali-Ammar Stadium in Douéra.
The Algerian club must win by three goals to secure qualification for the group stage of the Champions League.
Without their captain Ayoub Abdellaoui (injured) and defender Oussama Benhaoua (suspended), the Algerian coach will field a modified team.
On their side, the Nigerians plan to rely on a solid defense and quick counterattacks to maintain their lead. This match recalls an episode from 1976 when MCA overturned the same opponent with an identical score (3-0) in Algiers.
Fifty years later, the Algiers crowd hopes to see this memorable scenario repeat itself.
