After a 3-2 defeat in Mali during the first leg, ASKO de Kara is looking to secure its qualification for the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup against FC Diarra. As the return match approaches, the general coordinator of the Kondona, Kodjo Afiadegnigban, emphasized the importance of staying calm and being efficient. According to him, the team must avoid rushing in their quest for goals and take advantage of the opportunities they create.
“We must not put too much pressure on ourselves, as it could complicate things for the players. We are trying to stay true to ourselves and play our game,” said the ASKO official at a press conference. Aware of the stakes, he believes the Kondona still have a chance, especially since they will be playing in front of their home crowd. The objective is clear: to win, no matter how. “What we aim for is that no matter how, tomorrow, we must win this match,” he insisted.
From a sporting perspective, offensive efficiency remains one of the major challenges for ASKO. Kodjo Afiadegnigban noted that his team regularly generates chances but must now do a better job of converting them. The Kondona will also have to cope without Adjéssi, who was sent off in the first leg. However, the official remains optimistic: several alternatives have been worked on during training to compensate for this absence.
