ASKO is closing in on the group stage of the CAF Cup. The Kondona lead 1-0 against FC Diarra at halftime of the second leg of the preliminary round.

ASKO faced a challenge. The Togolese club needed to overcome a deficit after losing the first leg. From the start, Abdoul-Halimou Sama and his teammates attacked the FC Diarra defense. The Kondona aimed to build confidence by scoring this crucial goal early on. However, the opposing defense appeared solid. All attempts were thwarted. Nevertheless, the Yellow and Black maintained their pressure.

As FC Diarra tried to respond with counterattacks, ASKO demonstrated remarkable collective discipline. They played with a compact defense and made quick transitions. Their perseverance was rewarded just before halftime. The FC Diarra defense committed a foul by handling the ball, resulting in a penalty. Abdoul Ouattara took the spot-kick and opened the scoring for the Kondona. This goal could prove crucial and salvaging for ASKO.
