The list of 16 teams qualified for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup 2026-2027 is taking shape ahead of the draw. Several clubs familiar with African competitions will be present, including Al Ahly, USM Alger, Raja Casablanca, and AS FAR. The draw is scheduled for October 28.

Egypt will be represented by Al Ahly, while Algeria will rely on USM Alger and potentially CR Belouizdad, which is still engaged in a qualifying match against AS Douanes or Hafia FC depending on the outcome of that encounter. Morocco will also be well represented with Raja Casablanca and AS FAR. Tunisia will count on CS Sfaxien, while Tanzania will be represented by Azam FC and Singida Black Stars.

Other teams will try to make their mark in this edition. Libya will be represented by Al Ahli Tripoli, Mozambique by Black Bulls, Mali by Real Bamako, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo by AS Maniema Union. South Africa will rely on Durban City, Zambia on Red Arrows, and Angola on Primeiro de Agosto. Togo will also be represented by ASKO, which will carry the hopes of Togolese football in this competition.

The teams will discover their opponents during the draw on October 28. The group distribution will allow for an assessment of the strengths at play and clarify each club's ambitions in this continental campaign.
