The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reached a new milestone in the management of its club tournaments. The continental body has officially approved a series of regulatory changes aimed at easing the transfer market, providing more flexibility to coaches, and reorganizing its decision-making bodies within a single season.

Among the most significant changes is the allowance for a player to represent two different clubs during the same season of club competitions. Additionally, CAF now permits the registration of a squad of up to 40 players per club. A margin for adjustment is also granted during the final registration period, where four players can be replaced provided they have not played a single minute on the continental stage during the current year.

From an administrative and legal standpoint, CAF is undertaking a major institutional realignment regarding governance. From now on, all disciplinary cases will be managed directly by the Disciplinary Committee, thus removing this responsibility from the Interclub Competitions Committee to ensure greater impartiality and stricter management of disputes.
