Bad news for Cameroon. Carlos Baleba, playing for Manchester United against AS Roma this Tuesday in the Champions League, was forced to leave his teammates shortly after the restart. The midfielder stopped while holding the back of his thigh, raising concerns about a muscle issue just days before the Indomitable Lions' gathering.
The incident occurred in the 48th minute, while Manchester United was still trailing 2-0 at Old Trafford. After halting his effort, Baleba quickly realized he could not continue the match. The Cameroonian returned to the dressing room with a look of frustration, before being replaced by Youri Tielemans.
With just days to go before the start of the Cameroonian national team's gathering for matches against Namibia in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, this exit is a cause for concern.
