Following the establishment of its management, the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFOOT) is taking steps to organize the national teams. By Decision No. 025/FCF/PR/26 dated October 1, 2026, FECOFOOT President Éric Alain Mantot officially announced the formation of the new technical staff for the U-23 national team. This decision is directly based on the minutes from the Extraordinary General Assembly held on September 26 in Brazzaville.
At the helm of this U-23 team, FECOFOOT has appointed Omar Daf as the head coach. He will be assisted by Cyrille Pépin Donga (first assistant coach) and Hugues Bienvenu Ondina (second assistant coach). The role of goalkeeper coach has been assigned to former international Omar Diallo, while Eric Moukouyou will handle the physical preparation of the group.
The medical and logistical support is completed by Dr. Grégoire Eboue (doctor), Joste Lounou (physiotherapist), and Rick-Ô-Nel Bemba Essoumba (equipment manager). Effective from the date of signing, this appointment marks the official start of the new project for the Red Devils U-23, with the goal of building a competitive U-23 team on the continental stage.
