Former Formula 1 racer Daniel Ricciardo made an unexpected appearance on stage in Austin, Texas, alongside American singer-songwriter Rob Baird.

The Australian artist joined Baird at the Ford Racing and Enchanté pop-up event on Friday night to play harmonica on an original track he co-composed with Baird during a road trip to the United States Grand Prix.

A video shared by a fan of the performance on Instagram had garnered over 7000 likes by the time of this writing. "This healed something in me," remarked one viewer, while another added: "I’m convinced he was either Bob Dylan's sibling or a cowboy in another life lol. We adore you, Daniel."

"At this point, no one is focused on the race. Thrilled to see Daniel back, even if he’s not competing," noted another fan, with someone else commenting: "As both a musician and a honey badger enthusiast, it would be a dream to jam with Danny Ric."

The duo arrived in Austin for the United States Grand Prix weekend after traveling from Ford's Raptor Rally in Arizona. "Last night we kicked things off in Lake Havasu at the Ford Raptor Rally, and in a couple of days we're taking the scenic route to Austin," Ricciardo shared in a message to his Enchanté subscribers before starting the road trip.

"And I mean the lonnnng way. Desert, backroads, swimming holes, all of it. Not gonna lie, I can't wait."

This road trip was part of the promotion for the new Enchanté collection, The Long Road. The fresh items are available at a pop-up in Distribution Hall in Austin, alongside food, beverages, flash tattoos, and racing simulators.

Ricciardo was also seen supporting Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson as the New Zealander headlined Garage Sessions with Liam Lawson and Friends during Esses Bazaar ATX, held at Inn Cahoots on East Sixth Street in anticipation of this weekend's United States Grand Prix.
