The Egypt U-2009 national team, under the guidance of coach Hussein Abdel Latif, secured a friendly victory against the Al Ittihad Alexandria U-2007 team, winning 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ziad Saoudi. The match took place at the National Teams Center in Sixth of October City as part of preparations for the Gulf Cup for Youth.
Dr. Walid Darwish, a member of the Egyptian Football Association's board and supervisor of the national team, attended the match along with Mohamed Youssef, the youth sector director at Al Ahly SC.
The team is set to travel to Qatar on October 14 to participate in the tournament, which will run from October 17 to November 4. They will compete in the first round within Group A, which includes Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Yemen.
