Farouk Jaafar: A Talent Discovered Early by Zamalek
Farouk Jaafar's football journey began at an early age when he caught attention during his participation in the school league at just 7 years old. His talent was discovered by Mimi Darwich, a former Ismaily player, and Sid El-Tabak, a player from Al-Qanah and Olympic. Jaafar joined Zamalek's youth sector thanks to Ibrahim Abdel Rahman, the club's talent scout, when he turned 17, before getting his chance with the first team, making a strong impression by scoring two goals in a match that ended with Zamalek winning 4-2 against Factory 36.
Jaafar's journey did not stop with his brilliance at Zamalek; he also joined the Egyptian national team and had a professional stint in the United States in 1972, before returning to Egyptian football to continue his career.
