Sofyan Amrabat expressed his admiration for his interactions with Jordi Cruyff, the director of Ajax. The midfielder clearly mentioned this during an interview with NOS. Last summer, the Ajax official managed to persuade Amrabat to join the club.
In the past, Cruyff had already tried to sign Amrabat for FC Barcelona. Last April, the manager reached out to the Moroccan again and successfully attracted him to Ajax Amsterdam.
“I am an emotional person and I often make decisions with my heart. Jordi is someone very warm,” Amrabat said.
“Instead of sending me a text, he called me directly. It was very spontaneous and positive right away. That’s not always the case in football; it can be very professional and sometimes even difficult. So when you feel that closeness, it’s nice and it’s appreciated.”
