Ferrari unveils exclusive black race suit for Charles Leclerc at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.
Ferrari has introduced a unique black race suit for Charles Leclerc, which the Monegasque driver will don at the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix next month.
Stepping away from the classic Ferrari red with white highlights, Leclerc's custom race suit is predominantly black. Alongside the suit that "captures a night under the Singapore lights", the Maranello team has also shown off a limited-edition cap, set to be available for fans to buy on 5 October.
Supporters have voiced their opinions on the striking new design for the 28-year-old, with some calling it "fire" while others are curious about its selection for Singapore. "Nice, I mean I have no idea why they’re doing it but… nice?" one user commented on Reddit, while another remarked: "The Dark Leclerc era has arrived."
"Damn it'd be awesome if Lewis had an all-white suit under the lights," another fan shared, and another added: "Nobody asked my opinion, and it doesn't really matter, but that HP logo is hideous. It feels so out of place every time I spot it. Just needed to express that, thanks everyone."
Additional remarks include: "Good thing the race is at night because that’s going to be scorching during daytime practice," and "Ferrari ought to concentrate more on the core aspects of grand prix racing rather than on unique race suits and helmets. Perhaps then, just perhaps, they wouldn’t be so lost."
Leclerc currently holds the fifth position in the drivers' standings with 167 points, trailing championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 125 points and 24 points behind his Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton, who is in third place.
The Singapore Grand Prix is scheduled to occur at the Marina Bay Street Circuit from 9-11 October. Following that, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place from 24-26 September, and the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia is set for 2-4 October.
