Final opportunity to determine the status of Imam Ashour and Mohamed Hany for the national team gathering.

Hossam Hassan, the national coach of the Egypt national team, will determine the status of Imam Ashour and Mohamed Hani for the upcoming training camp after monitoring their performances with Al Ahly in the upcoming Capital Cup and Egypt Cup matches.

The coaching staff is keen to assess the duo's readiness and participation in the two matches, especially since they have recently been sidelined from Hussein Ammouta's options at Al Ahly for technical reasons. Hossam Hassan aims to select the players who are most fit both physically and technically before announcing the Pharaohs' squad in preparation for the matches against Malawi.

The coaching staff will consider the players' conditions and performances in the upcoming matches as part of their selection criteria, in addition to the team's needs in various positions. They do not wish to call up any player without confirming their ability to provide the required contribution during the camp.

The situation is expected to become clearer after Al Ahly's domestic commitments conclude, as Hossam Hassan will make his final decision regarding Ashour and Hani before the national team's gathering begins.

The coach aims to prepare the best available group to maximize the benefits of the preparation period and adequately prepare for the matches against Malawi.

The Egypt national team, led by Hossam Hassan, will face Malawi on November 13 and 17 in the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The matches will take place after the implementation of winter time in Egypt, which begins on Friday, October 30.
