Following the crises faced by the national team, the Egyptian Football Association makes a decision regarding Hossam Hassan's future.

The Egyptian Football Association has clarified its position regarding the future of Hossam Hassan, the national team coach, amid recent controversy surrounding issues involving team members.

In statements to the Egyptian sports channel "On Sport," El-Darandly explained that "Ibrahim Hassan ignored his handshake and interaction when he was the head of the delegation during the trip to South Sudan."
He added, "We have not held back in supporting the team and attended all training sessions, and there has been no direct conflict between the Egyptian Football Association and the coaching staff."
Regarding the possibility of removing the coaching staff led by Hossam Hassan if he submits an official report, El-Darandly stated that the coaching staff will not leave their position if he submits his report.
He added, "The issue is not whether the coaching staff continues or not; it is normal for the head of the delegation to write a report, and the decision rests with the Board of Directors headed by Hani Abou Rida."
He also noted that the Egyptian Football Association does not make hasty decisions and considers the stability of the team, and that it "does not settle scores."
The Egyptian national team achieved a significant victory over their hosts, South Sudan, with a score of 5-0 in the second round of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
