The president of the Ghana Football Association addressed the media on Wednesday. Kurt Okraku analyzed the reasons behind the repeated failures of the national teams.

Ghana struggles to establish itself on the African football scene. Whether for the senior national teams or youth selections, both female and male, the country of Abedi Pele has not experienced continental success for far too long. In front of the press, Kurt Okraku highlighted the causes. The GFA president pointed out logistical issues concerning the teams.

“Your Black Stars, your Black Queens, and the 18 other national teams we have only have one bus acquired in 2008. 20 national teams depend on the same bus. Currently, the bus is out of service. During the last international window, the federation had to rent a bus. To build a solid ecosystem around football, these are fundamental elements. This is why we do not have lasting and meaningful stories across generations,” stated Kurt Okraku.
