Algerian international player Farès Chaïbi played a key role in Eintracht Frankfurt's qualification for the next round of the DFB-Pokal. In an intense match against Hamburg, the attacking midfielder proved decisive as his team gained the upper hand.

Eintracht Frankfurt secured their place in the round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal with a 3-1 victory over Hamburg on Tuesday night. Positioned in the attacking midfield for the Eagles, Farès Chaïbi shone by providing an assist for his team's third goal, scored by Younes Ebnoutalib in the 75th minute.

After a competitive first half, the Frankfurt players took control after the break. Robin Koch opened the scoring in the 56th minute, capitalizing on a header from Jonathan Burkardt following a cross from Can Uzun. Despite several clear chances, Hamburg failed to convert their dominance into goals and ended up conceding a second goal.

In the 71st minute, Burkardt doubled the lead with a superb shot, before Ebnoutalib extended the gap four minutes later. For this third goal, Uzun found Chaïbi in the box. The Algerian perfectly set up his teammate, who evaded a defender before beating the opposing goalkeeper with a powerful shot under the crossbar.

Hamburg pulled one back in the 79th minute through Terem Moffi, but it did not reignite the suspense. Frankfurt managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle, thus continuing their journey in the competition.

This qualification allows Chaïbi to keep building momentum with Eintracht. Valuable in the attacking play, the Fennec continues to accumulate playing time and contribute to his team's performances. The round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal is scheduled for December 1 and 2.
