Guiton after renewing his contract with Charleroi: “I feel at home”
Algerian international Kevin Guiton expressed his great joy after securing his future by renewing his contract with Belgian club Sporting Charleroi until 2029. He emphasized that mutual trust and the atmosphere within the club were crucial in making this decision.
The defender said in statements to the club's official website: “I am really happy to be able to commit long-term to Sporting. There is a shared trust with the club, and above all, I feel completely at home here. Great things are still ahead of us.”
About his special relationship with the “Zebras,” Guiton added: “There is a very strong bond between me and the fans. This developed naturally and spontaneously; I always try to repay them by giving my best on the pitch, and I think they feel that.”
The decision to renew his contract until 2029 reflects Charleroi's strong confidence in the Algerian player's abilities, especially after his positive and consistent performances on the right side since joining from French club Metz and activating the option to buy him permanently. This provides him with significant stability to continue his development in the Belgian league and maintain his high readiness.
