National coach Ibrahim Hamdani spoke about the injury sustained by national team striker Amine Gouiri during the match against Zambia, which forced him to leave the field in the 20th minute.

Hamdani said: “We do not know the severity of the player’s injury, and we will communicate with the medical team to learn the details of the injury and the duration of his absence from competitions.”

The spokesperson added: “There is an emergency situation regarding him, and I do not want to say more. The player is suffering from an injury to his left thigh muscle (quadriceps), and we are waiting for the results of the medical examinations that will accurately determine the nature of the injury and the length of his absence.”
