Ismaily is close to ending registration restrictions, with $1.15 million separating the club from resolving the crisis.
Ismaily SC is nearing a resolution to its registration ban after the appointed committee managing the club has addressed several outstanding financial issues, the latest being the case of Tunisian player Firas Chaouat. As a result, the remaining issues preventing the lifting of the ban now include the dues owed to Algerian player Mohamed Ben Khamassa, a former team member, as well as the outstanding payments to Future FC.
According to current figures, the remaining obligations related to these two cases amount to $435,000 and 600,000 Swiss francs, which is approximately $1.15 million based on an exchange rate of about $1.196 per Swiss franc as of October 1, 2026.
$435,000 owed to Ben Khamassa
The case of Algerian player Mohamed Ben Khamassa, a former Ismaily player, has become the main obstacle for the club in lifting the registration ban, as his dues total $435,000.
The appointed committee is working to resolve this matter as soon as possible, as it is one of the key remaining issues for the club, which will allow them to lift the registration ban and strengthen the team during the upcoming transfer window.
600,000 francs owed to Future FC
Meanwhile, the dues owed to Future FC remain one of the issues Ismaily is working to settle, with the club demanding payment of 600,000 Swiss francs.
When converted to U.S. dollars at the current exchange rate, 600,000 Swiss francs is approximately $717,600, bringing the total remaining obligations in these two cases to around $1.153 million.
The committee has successfully resolved the case of Tunisian player Firas Chaouat, having agreed to pay his dues of $425,692, including penalties and interest, without the player waiving any part of his entitlement.
Ismaily paid $255,692 immediately, with an additional $85,000 due by the end of October and a similar amount by the end of January, according to the agreement reached between the parties, thus closing the case.
The club also managed to settle two previous cases involving Hamdi Nagguez and Mohamed Lamine Kone, where the original dues in these cases totaled $703,000, before reaching an agreement for a payment of $565,000, saving Ismaily $138,000.
With this, the committee has closed several important cases, while the dues owed to Ben Khamassa and Future FC remain the most significant obstacles to lifting the registration ban.
