The former defender of the Algerian national team is attending Italy's training camp in Coverciano, where he has been able to closely observe the work of the Azzurri and their coaching staff. His presence is part of his training for obtaining the UEFA A license.

Ghoulam is notably accompanying Fabio Sannino, a member of the Italian national team's medical staff. This experience allows him to closely see how an international team operates and understand the demands related to preparing a team at the highest level.

The former Napoli player is among the former professionals enrolled in the UEFA A program who attended the training session. He was surrounded by several former Italian players, including Riccardo Saponara and Stefano Sturaro.

On the field, Italian coach Roberto Mancini took advantage of this first session in Coverciano to work on various tactical principles. A 4-3-3 system was tested, with several players assigned to different roles to memorize the team's movements, particularly during off-the-ball phases.

This immersion offers Ghoulam a unique opportunity to observe the working methods of a national team. After a career marked by his stints at AS Saint-Étienne, Napoli, and the Algerian national team, the left-back is now exploring a new path.
