CR Belouizdad Faces Tunisian Club Sfaxien in the Confederation Cup

The draw for the group stage of the 2026-2027 CAF Confederation Cup has placed CR Belouizdad in Group D.

The defending champions will enter this continental tournament alongside Tunisian club Sfaxien, Mozambique's Black Bulls, and Mali's Real Bamako.

The match against Sfaxien is expected to be one of the highlights for the "Soustara" team, who won the tournament in 2023 and 2026, given the rich history of the Tunisian team, which has claimed the title three times in 2007, 2008, and 2013.

On the other hand, Algeria's other representative in the Confederation Cup, CR Belouizdad, if they advance past the second preliminary round, will be in Group C, which also includes Congo's Maniema, Tanzania's Singida Black Stars, and Zambia's Red Arrows.
