CD Tenerife announced on Tuesday the death of Jesús de Miguel. The consequences of a violent collision that occurred on Monday night during the match against Andorra FC were fatal for the Spanish club's forward. De Miguel was 30 years old.

On Monday night, during the match between Tenerife and Andorra FC, De Miguel suffered a severe blow from Equatorial Guinea goalkeeper Jesús Owono. The forward lost consciousness, was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and had to be resuscitated following a cardiac arrest.

On Tuesday morning, Tenerife announced that De Miguel's neurological condition was deteriorating. In the following hours, the forward's condition continued to worsen. He passed away on Tuesday morning at the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.

“It is with immense pain, a lump in our throats, and disbelief at this tragic news that CD Tenerife announces the tragic death of Jesús de Miguel Alameda, which occurred on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 8:00 AM,” the club stated in an official release.

“No words can ease our profound sadness. We stand with his grieving family, his loved ones, and the entire Tenerife community, who mourn this cruel loss today.”

The former youth player of Leganés played for six clubs during his career. After playing for Fuenlabrada, AD Unión Adarve, Navalcarnero, Unionistas de Salamanca, and CD Castellón, he joined Tenerife in mid-2025. Before that, he scored 11 goals in 36 matches.

There are no words of comfort; there is absolutely nothing that can mitigate this feeling filled with sadness. We are with his devastated family, with his loved ones, with all the Tenerife community who today mourns this cruel outcome.
