The draw for the tournament celebrating 25 years of Sport FM radio in the northern region took place on Monday in Lomé. Four teams, three of which play in the top division, will compete for a spot in the final through two matches that promise to be thrilling at the municipal stadium of Sokodé.

Known as "the radio that gives its all," Sport FM is celebrating its quarter-century anniversary. To mark this event, it is organizing the Colonel Agoro Medjessiribi Trophy tournament, which will kick off in the north with the semi-finals scheduled for November 7 and 8. The four teams in competition are Sara FC, ASCK, Semassi, and Tchaoudjo Athletic Club (TAC).

The first semi-final will see Sara FC face ASCK. Winners of the second division a few weeks ago, the Bafilo club approaches this match with the momentum of their promotion to the top tier. Meanwhile, ASCK, the reigning champion of Togo, will look to regain its footing after an early exit in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League against ASEC Mimosas. For both teams, this tournament presents a great opportunity to assess their level and refine their teamwork ahead of upcoming competitions.

The second match will resemble a Tchaoudjo derby. Semassi, a historic club from Sokodé known for attracting large crowds, will clash with TAC. The Tchaoudjo Warriors, entering the new season with a revamped squad, will have the chance to test their teamwork in front of their fans. On the other side, TAC aims to play the role of spoiler. This team, recognized for promoting youth and talent scouting, will be determined to create an upset and qualify for the final.
