The faith that Gennaro Gattuso has in Reda Belahyane seems to be redirecting his career at Lazio.
Frequently starting since the beginning of the season, the Moroccan midfielder is gradually establishing himself in the Roman team. This development has been noted by sporting director Angelo Mariano Fabiani, who is convinced that the player has the ability to reach a higher level.
In the pages of Il Messaggero, he states that Lazio identified the Moroccan's strengths well before his arrival. He particularly admires Belahyane's ability to maintain a high level of performance throughout a match, as well as his game vision and tactical intelligence.
“He looks light, he seems frail, but in reality, he has excellent defensive skills. Moreover, he possesses something extraordinary, which I believe is innate: his perception of the game. He always knows how to manage the ball and finds the appropriate solution”, emphasized the Italian official.
Fabiani believes, however, that Belahyane still has room for improvement. His partnership with Gattuso appears to be bearing fruit, to the point that the director predicts a bright future for him.
Belahyane has participated in seven matches this season, five of which he started consecutively. This record contrasts with last season, where he was only a starter in five of the 14 matches played across all competitions.
