Ferrari Formula 1 pilots Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have conducted a track evaluation of the new Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale at Fiorano.
This on-track experience provided both drivers with a chance to offer their insights on the new super GT, which boasts a front-mid-mounted 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine generating 830 hp.
Unveiled in July 2026, the 12Cilindri Manuale is a limited-edition special series of the Ferrari 12Cilindri. It incorporates Ferrari's newly developed Manuale-By-Wire system, which the manufacturer claims 'restores a raw physical intensity to the essence of the V12 experience.' This system offers a manual gearbox feel while benefiting from Ferrari's dual-clutch transmission.
The vehicle also showcases integrated active aerodynamics, along with a tribute to Ferrari's classic GT lineage, featuring a round aluminum gear knob and a six-speed shift gate, as well as a clutch-by-wire pedal.
Leclerc was the first to take the wheel, with his seven-time champion teammate in the passenger seat. "You're so relaxed. You truly are the chill guy!" the Monegasque driver remarked to Hamilton as they navigated the Italian circuit. "Incredible!" he exclaimed upon exiting the vehicle.
The duo couldn't contain their amusement during Hamilton's drive. "Fantastico! It's really impressive. Wow. It's such a joy to drive," the Brit stated afterwards.
The video, posted on Ferrari's official YouTube channel, had already surpassed 200,000 views at the time of writing.
"This might be one of the first videos in a while where the drivers of the new car appear genuinely happy, especially Leclerc. Great job Ferrari on crafting a magnificent vehicle," one fan commented, while another noted: "So great to see the guys enjoying themselves behind the wheel of that Ferrari!"
Other reactions included: "What a stunning and remarkable machine! I'm in love with the 12Cilindri Manuale. It would be phenomenal to drive it around Fiorano," and "In my view, one of the most attractive Ferraris out there."
Only 1499 units of the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale will be produced.
