Man City: The paradox of Aït Nouri, a key player statistically!

Although he has been rarely used since the start of the season with Manchester City, Rayan Aït-Nouri still boasts impressive statistics.

Rayan Aït-Nouri is having a rather contradictory start to the season with Manchester City. While his playing time is almost non-existent, the Algerian left-back is still ranked as the joint top assister for the Citizens across all competitions, with three assists, tied with Josko Gvardiol and Antoine Semenyo.

The contrast is striking. Aït-Nouri has yet to play a single minute in the Premier League this season, despite the first six matchdays having passed. His playing time has been limited to two matches: 90 minutes in the EFL Cup, where he provided two assists, and about 15 minutes in the Champions League, with another assist to his name.

In total, the former Wolverhampton player has logged only 105 minutes of play with Manchester City this season. However, he has been directly involved in three goals, which translates to an assist every 35 minutes. This is a particularly effective return given his very limited playing time.

However, the situation remains concerning for the Algerian international. Absent from the matchday squad against Liverpool after the break, Aït-Nouri seems to be sidelined in the current hierarchy. His statistics show that whenever he has been called upon, he has managed to contribute offensively.

The Algerian international is also expected to miss this week's Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain due to a severe cold.
