Max Verstappen responds to overcoming the Singapore GP jinx after enduring years of disappointment.

After a career filled with near misses at the Singapore Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has finally claimed victory atop the podium at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on a Sunday race. Following a season that has seen its ups and downs for the Red Bull team, this marks the four-time champion's second consecutive grand prix triumph.
This achievement wraps up a challenging series of races spanning Baku, Sepang, and Singapore. Verstappen secured a second-place finish in the first of these events. However, it was Malaysia where he notched his first win of the season. Following a successful sprint race in Singapore where he also took first place, Verstappen has now established a winning momentum.
Verstappen conquers Singapore
Previously, Verstappen had finished second at Marina Bay in 2018, 2024, and 2025, but he had never managed to clinch the top spot. Now, he can finally cross this off his list, leaving only the Madrid circuit as the remaining active venue where he has yet to achieve a win.
"Yeah. It's taken a while," he remarked after the race. "But I think this race went really well. We had the pace when we needed it on both the soft and medium tires, although I believe the medium tire was a bit of a challenge for everyone. Nevertheless, it worked out, so I'm obviously very pleased to win here."
This newfound wave of success is giving the Milton Keynes team the motivation boost it needed after what had largely been a season dominated by Mercedes thus far.
"Yeah, I think the last few races have been quite positive for us, and it's just wonderful to see. There's a lot of motivation within the team to strive for even more results. It's a fantastic group of people. I truly enjoy working with them, and hopefully, we can have a bit more fun until the end of the year."

However, it wasn't a perfect weekend for Red Bull as Isack Hadjar was unable to finish the sprint race due to mechanical problems, forcing him to start from the pit lane for Sunday's grand prix.
Red Bull will be looking to maintain its winning momentum as they head to Austin for the United States Grand Prix.
