Desiree Doye came on in his place, while Mbappé headed straight to the locker room, still limping slightly, after receiving quick and friendly encouragement from his coach Zinedine Zidane.

France is preparing for three more matches in the Nations League, facing Belgium on September 28, followed by a match against Italy on October 2, before meeting the 'Red Devils' again on the fifth of the same month.

In the 54th minute, the Real Madrid forward received a pass from Michael Olise, then struck with his right foot, deceiving Turkish goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır to become the first scorer of the match.

However, he did not celebrate the goal, as he began to limp before falling to the ground, with pain clearly visible on his face as he held the back of his left knee.
