MCA: Options for the future post-Ben Yahia, including a renaming.

MC Alger appears to be on the verge of starting a significant new chapter. Although Khaled Ben Yahia's departure has not yet been officially announced, a prestigious option is already emerging to replace him.
Khaled Ben Yahia may be experiencing his final moments on the bench of MC Alger, but nothing has been definitively decided yet. Despite the impressive qualification against Rangers and securing a spot in the group stage of the Champions League, the Tunisian coach has reaffirmed to his management his intention to leave the club. This statement had already been made before this crucial match.
Ben Yahia remains affected by the tensions surrounding the team, particularly by the insults he reportedly received from some supporters. The achievement against the Nigerians has therefore not been enough to sway his decision. However, MCA has not yet communicated about his departure or a potential contract termination.
For now, the coach is expected to return for training and could even lead the team on Tuesday against US Biskra. The busy schedule leaves little time for the management, which must avoid hastening a succession just hours before a new league match.
Behind the scenes, initial candidates are starting to emerge. According to the latest rumors, Senegalese Pape Thiaw is one of the main candidates considered to take over.
The African champion seems to be one of the profiles analyzed by the management, although no agreement has yet been formalized to date. Other options are also being considered, including Algerian Lakhdar Adjali, according to the newspaper El Khabar.
Adjali had two African experiences between 2023 and 2026 as assistant coach of Tanzania, but most notably at the helm of Guinean club Hafia Conakry, with whom he won a cup and finished as runner-up.
