Mercedes is arriving at this weekend's United States Grand Prix with a unique blue livery, as the team aims for its driver Kimi Antonelli to secure the Formula 1 world championship come Sunday.

Created in collaboration with MANUFAKTUR, the Mercedes brand's customization program, the design replaces the W17’s standard silver with blue. The front of the car prominently displays the new hue.

MANUFAKTUR is the initiative that allows customers of Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, and Mercedes-Maybach to customize their vehicles with unique paint, materials, and artisanal details. Approximately half of the vehicles Mercedes sells in the US feature at least one MANUFAKTUR element.

Additionally, George Russell will don a classic blue race suit while Antonelli will sport a steel blue outfit, and both drivers will utilize a Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe that complements the overall aesthetic. An impressive enhancement. The team’s garage at the Circuit of the Americas will also receive a MANUFAKTUR upgrade.

To further commemorate the new color scheme, events are planned at South Congress, Amy’s, Tecovas, the W Hotel, and SCHEELS, with a free fan hub set to open at 400 Congress Avenue starting Thursday.

“Austin will be a significant weekend for us off the track, with numerous commercial initiatives happening throughout the city,” team principal Toto Wolff stated in the team's preview. “Central to this will be the AMG and MANUFAKTUR showcase, highlighting the performance, craftsmanship, and uniqueness of the broader Mercedes family all weekend long.”

This marks the second special livery Mercedes has introduced in three races. Two races prior at Sepang, the team celebrated its title partnership with Petronas by altering the positions of its silver and turquoise colors.

"The United States Grand Prix kicks off another challenging triple-header," Wolff remarks. "There is a lot on the line, but we won’t get ahead of ourselves. Our focus is on the weekend ahead: to execute effectively, optimize our performance, and tackle each race as it comes."
