The organizers of the Mexican Grand Prix have created a Day of the Dead tribute in the paddock to honor former Formula 1 personalities, including Lewis Hamilton's bulldog, Roscoe.

The seven-time champion's pet has been commemorated alongside some of the sport's legends. His picture is prominently displayed in the center of one tribute, positioned below Ayrton Senna. Surrounding them are notable figures such as Enzo Ferrari, Jack Brabham, Juan Manuel Fangio, James Hunt, Patrick Depailler, Pedro Rodríguez, and Jean-Marie Balestre.

Additional displays feature F1 icons like Alberto Ascari, Graham Hill, Roland Ratzenberger, Alex Zanardi, Colin Chapman, Max Mosley, Eddie Jordan, Stirling Moss, José Abed, Ricardo Rodríguez, and Jochen Rindt, among others.

The tributes are arranged across various walls, each encircled by an arch of vibrant orange marigolds and adorned with candles and monochrome portraits.

Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a significant tradition in Mexico, coinciding with the weekend of the Mexican Grand Prix this year. Families typically construct altars, known as ofrendas, embellished with photos, candles, and marigolds to honor deceased loved ones, and it’s common to include pets in these remembrances.

Fans quickly expressed their appreciation for the tribute on social media.

"Roscoe never completed a single lap, yet he became one of the most cherished figures in the paddock. Mexico truly aced this tribute," one user commented on Reddit, while another noted: "This is such a lovely gesture; Lewis will be touched."

"It's very moving that Roscoe was included," remarked another fan, with another adding, "Fair play, that’s a classy move."

The Mexican Grand Prix marks the second leg of the penultimate triple-header of the season. It follows the United States Grand Prix, which was clinched by championship leader Kimi Antonelli, and precedes the Brazilian Grand Prix next week.

The season is then set to conclude with a final triple-header in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, assuming everything proceeds as planned.
