MLS: Farsi regains his effectiveness and returns to optimal form (video)

Algerian right-back Mohamed Farsi found the back of the net for the third time this season last night in Montreal.
The international, with 5 caps, returned to his hometown with his team Columbus Crew and opened the scoring in the 57th minute at Saputo Stadium during the 26th round of the MLS.
After a teammate recovered the ball following a tackle in midfield, Farsi found himself on the right wing with space, charged towards the opponent's penalty area, deceived a defender, and unleashed a cross-shot that beat the goalkeeper.
This marks his third goal of the season, following a long rehabilitation process since May, as he regained a starting spot this summer. With Rafik Belghali under suspension, he could have been among the substitute options.
Columbus, who were 2023 champions of the United States, are struggling this year, as despite this 2-0 victory against Montreal, the team sitting second to last in the standings, the Ohio side ranks 27th out of 30.
With eight matches remaining, The Crew trails by eight points for the playoff spots in the final standings, well behind Lionel Messi's Inter Miami, for example.
