Mohamed Abdel Jalil: I support the idea of Shikabala returning to Zamalek... and the current generation would have been greatly affected if they had played during that time.

Former Al Ahly star Mohamed Abdel Jalil expressed his support for Mahmoud Abdel Razek "Shikabala" to return to Zamalek, emphasizing that the player still possesses the technical skills necessary for good performance, especially given the scarcity of skilled players in Egyptian football today.

During his conversation with journalist Ibrahim Abdel Jawad on the program "Malab On," which airs on On Sport channel, Mohamed Abdel Jalil said: "I support Shikabala's return to Zamalek, as he has skills that surpass those currently available and is capable of performing. The proof is that Abdullah El-Said is still playing, due to the lack of players with exceptional skills."

The former Al Ahly star also touched on the differences between his generation and the current generation of players, noting that individual skills were more prevalent in the past compared to the reliance on speed and physical effort today.

He added: "The current generation would struggle if they had played in the 1980s, because we all had skills, unlike some players today, of whom only two or three possess football skills, while the rest rely on running and speed."

Mohamed Abdel Jalil also discussed the possibility of some current Al Ahly players participating with the 1980s generation, pointing out that Mohamed Hani could fit into that lineup at the expense of Alaa Abdel-Sadek, but not Ibrahim Hassan, while he believes Ahmed Sayed Zizo could be a substitute.

The former star indicated that Imam Ashour would not be able to play instead of him or instead of Alaa Miyhoub, reflecting his views on the technical differences between players of the two generations.
