Egyptian composer Mohamed Nawara confirmed that composing the official music for the Egyptian Premier League was a significant challenge for him. He aimed to create a melody that would stick in the minds of fans and reflect the identity of Egyptian football and the atmosphere of the stands.
Nawara stated that his joy does not only come from composing the official music for the Egyptian Premier League, but he also feels proud to present its new version. He noted that he needed to study the nature of the Egyptian league and the music of other leagues to reach a melody that expresses the uniqueness of the Egyptian competition.
Nawara added that his vision for the music went through essential stages; the first involved creating a simple and distinctive musical phrase that would linger in people's minds, making them remember the Egyptian Premier League upon hearing it. The second stage was ensuring that this phrase matched the atmosphere of the fans and the stands.
The Egyptian composer explained that he wanted the music to be an extension of the Egyptian musical heritage and to harmonize with the chants and songs of the fans in the stands. He emphasized the importance of having segments that fans could chant along with and engage with, which led him to incorporate some crowd sounds into the musical work.
