Englishman Harry Kane, striker for Bayern Munich and captain of the England national team, won the Ballon d'Or as the best player in the world for 2026 during a ceremony held by the French magazine "France Football" at the London Palladium in the British capital.
This marks Kane's first win of the award in his professional career, following years of outstanding performances in European football, where he has established himself as one of the top strikers thanks to his goal-scoring prowess and ability to create chances and contribute to build-up play.
The English striker began his career with Tottenham Hotspur, becoming the club's all-time top scorer, and won the Premier League Golden Boot three times before moving to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 to embark on a new experience in the Bundesliga and compete for domestic and continental titles.
On the international stage, Kane leads the England national team and is its all-time top scorer, having participated in several major tournaments, most notably the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where he won the Golden Boot by scoring six goals, in addition to contributing to reaching the final of the UEFA European Championship in 2020 and 2024.
Kane adds the Ballon d'Or to his personal record after a career that has spanned both the English and German leagues, achieving remarkable goal-scoring figures and maintaining a consistent presence among the best strikers in world football.
